HAND BUILT DIVER MODELIn our 32 years in the nautical antiques business, this is the highest-quality model of a full-suited deep sea diver we've ever seen. The attention to detail is absolutely fantastic, as you can see from the photos. Signed by the maker, J. Niemcyk, and under his name are the letters MDMM16. The tag on the bottom reads, "U. S. N. T. S. Ship Salvage." The diver's miniature breastplate reads, "U. S. N. T. S., Ship Salvage, Pier 88, N.Y., J. N. AJ-1944." All weights on the belt are stamped USN. The box measures 17.5" h x 13" w x 13" deep, while the seated diver is 15" tall. A magnificent model for those who collect only the finest.
