#0033 Fabulous Hatch Cover Coffee Table Base - Ready to go

FABULOUS HATCH COVER COFFEE TABLE BASE - READY TO GO

Very stout - wood 23" x 2 1/4" thick artistically shaped base, completely wrapped with a 2 1/2" wide band of polished and lacquered brass all around, with a 2 1/2" thick wood cross bar going thru the center and on the other side fixed to the base with 2 wooden pegs.  Length of cross bar 48".  Brass post, measuring 2 5/8" x 5/8", were installed on the top of the supporting  bases, which could fit in holes drilled in the bottom of the new top, if desired. (A pair of channel lock pliers will loosens and remove them  if not needed).

The wood is lightly sandblasted and torch burned; stained (slightly to give it this look you see.)  Add your own top of resin or glass.

Weighs 40 pounds.

Side table made from WW II fixed brass porthole and welded box link chain. Size is 29" wide x 28" high. Glass inside measures 24". This unique round table is supported by 3 stout welded box link chain legs. Box link size is 9" x 4". Definitely one of a kind !

67" Rare Vintage Rectangular Brass Porthole Table on 20" Teak base

Porthole table on 20" high teak base. The rectangular dead light brass porthole measures 35 1/2" x 66 3/4".  The heat-treated glass inside the porthole is in excellent condition for its age (circa 1950's). The porthole is attached to its base with bolts capped with six-sided brass acorn nuts.

Making for a rare, strong spectacular 20" tall nautical coffee table!

ROUND PORTHOLE TABLE

These tables are made out of large salvaged brass portholes. The vintage portholes are either 4-dog, 3-dog, or 2-dog. Looks and sizes vary depending on available stock. The portholes are stripped of their many layers of marine paint, then polished and lacquered. To make the tables, we add 4 stout brass adjustable legs with brass cross bars. These are very appealing pieces of nautical memorabilia that also serve a purpose. Use one as an end table beside your favorite chair. It will not wear out! Makes a great gift for anyone with an interest in the nautical, and a wonderful presentation award for Navy or Coast Guard personnel.
