1942 U. S. NAVY WW II DESTROYER STEERING STATION1942 U. S. Navy WW II destroyer steering station, polished and lacquered to gleaming perfection. This is a museum piece in A-1 condition, beautifully restored. The brass wheel with wood surround alone is a master piece. When wheel is turned, the indicator needle points to the required rudder indication. Two brass lights show the helmsman his indicator dial during battle conditions. TheWestinghouse tag on the lower body supplies info regarding inner working functions. The body is marked with stamped in # 3B7195. This rare destroyer steering station is for that retirement gift or addition to your U. S. Navy collection or museum. The unit has 2 identical 12" faces (in excellent condition) which are marked: flank, full, stand, 2/3, 1/3, stop, 1/3, 2/3, full, Bendix, Brooklyn, NY- cb 14396-a. U. S. NAVY WW II GUNPOWDER CANKeep your powder dry! Well worn and dented U. S. Navy copper and brass gunpowder can of the World War II era. Measures an incredible 18" tall x 10" x 10" and weighs 21 lbs. The bottom is a thick gauge copper, the top all heavy brass with a hinged brass port hole opening with three dogs (wing nuts) to "dog it down" tight to seal out moisture. Very unusual and highly collectible as well as decorative. Not polished. We can have it polsihed (as shown) for an additional fee.

U.S. NAVY WW II BRASS LIFEBOAT RUDDERU. S. Navy WW II brass lifeboat rudder, 37" tall. The gleaming polished and lacquered brass top of 1 1/2" diameter brass shaft is stamped with the U. S. Navy anchor marking. The rudder measures 22" tall x 16 1/2" and is 2 1/2" thick where the brass shaft is attached to the rudder blade. A spectacular collectors item.

USN STANDARD BINNACLE NO. 2The complete binnacle includes the compass chamber, the magnate chamber, the legs, the hood, the central tube for heeling magnet, magnet trays,i ncluding soft iron spheres, correction magnets, etc. The hood has a 7" glass window in front, and a 4" door in opposite side. USN WW II 1943 PELORUSUSN "Lionel" WW II Pelorus. Stands 53" x 13" and features an illuminated card, brass side door (for changing light bulb), and brass switch and dimmer control housings. The protective brass dome is still covered in navy grey paint, while the metal of rest of the "y" stand and bowl have been previously stripped and polished. The pelorus dial of clear 9" glass, mounted in the pelorus bowl, is graduated in 0-360 degrees to conform to the compass card. The dial is so fitted that it can be revolved and clamped in position, so the reading corresponds to the ship's compass heading. This unit is provided with an Alidade, mounting two vanes for taking bow and beam bearings. It was furnished to battleships, cruisers, gun boats, and destroyers. A Pelorus was usually placed at each end of the bridge. |

USN ENGINE REVOLUTION TELEGRAPHU. S. Navy Engine Revolution Telegraph. Rare heavy brass & aluminum body, 51" tall x 15 1/2" x 16 1/2" -- a real "Big Boy." 54 1/2" to top of handles. Heavy brass upper control body. The central brass inspection and control plate reads: "engine telegraph revolutions." In the middle are 3 vertical windows with revolution control numbers that can be changed with the knobs. Below are 2 brass bells that would ring when changes were made and understood via deck and engine room. If only it could talk, it looks like it has seen a lot of action. A fantastic find. USN PRACTICE SWORDS circa 1860U. S. Navy Practice Swords from 1860. The 36" long blades are wood, which is springy like hickory. The hand guards have the nicks and dents you might expect from something of this vintage, probably caused by sailors practicing their sword fighting techniques against each other. MASTER & OFFICER DIVER'S PLAQUEA polished and lacquered brass plaque of the insignia of a Navy Master Diver and Diving Officer. The Master Diver designation is quite a feat to earn. After several years of experience and upon being invited to participate, a Chief Petty officer, Senior Chieff Petty Officer, or Master Chief Petty officer (E7, E8, E9) can undergo evaluation to become a Master Diver. Upon selection by the board of peers and successful completion of all areas of diving expertise, he is then awarded the designation of Master Diver. In the Navy awards and decorations manual, the Master diver pin is silver and the officer pin Gold. Our brass plaque represents both. VINTAGE GAUGE BLACK FACE - WW IIHandsome World War II gauges salvaged from a U. S. Navy vessel. The markings on the black face differ according to which gauge is available at time of order. Most will say something like "Measures 0 to 2000 hydraulic pressure." On the bottom of the face is the maker's name: "U. S. Gauge Co. N.Y." Overall diameter is 6".
