United States Navy WW2 Ships Convoy Light with beautiful blue fresnel glass!

Great mood light or accent piece for that special room, office or ManCave! The blue light was used during passages through enemy waters when the convoy would zig zag to avoid being targeted by enemy U boats (submarines). The ships could see the blue lights and follow the leader in the zig zag pattern but the enemy subs could not see the dim blue lights. A great piece of history !

Wired for 110v and tastefully mounted on a wooden plinth.
